The 10th edition of the World Urban Forum was convened by UN-Habitat in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the General Secretariat of the Executive Council and Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The forum is Abu Dhabi’s largest event to date with 18,000 attendees from all over the world across 6 days. With the highest level of stakeholders involved in the project, it was important to work with partners that understood what it meant to deliver a world-class event. As the Project Manager hired by ADNEC, the official PCO for the event, I was working directly with Vision who provided us with 100+ simultaneous interpreters covering 6 official UN languages and other hard-to-source languages. Vision team did not hesitate to go over and beyond the call of duty to deliver seamlessly and to quality.
The reality of large-scale events, regardless of how planned they are, is that it requires a lot of flexibility and adaptability, and Vision has accommodated all our last-minute changes and requirements without question. The team was highly-reliable, highly- qualified, and very professional. They were key contributors to helping us ensure that the event ran without a glitch. Personally, I will no longer be working with another translation agency anymore!
